A: I am available for freelance work including bridal, photo shoots, fashion shows, and special occasions. Please contact me for more information including pricing and availability.

Q: I am interested in becoming a makeup artist, how do I start?

A:  Read, watch, and research everything that has to do with makeup products and makeup application.  YouTube is a great resource to learn tips and tricks from other artists.  Make friends with the artists at your favorite cosmetic store or counter.  Let me know you would like to be invited to special events whenever they have a PRO Artist or a special artist that is visiting.  Attend seminars that your favorite brand is conducting at a Sephora or Nordstrom, you can gain valuable information from the brands’ trainer or PRO Artist.  Visit your brands’ website to watch their videos and be up to date on the latest trends and techniques.   The Internet is a valuable resource that we have.  There are so many beauty/makeup blogs out there that you can spend hours upon hours of clicking on picture and reading entries.  Practice what you see or learn on your friends, on yourself, your mom, your neighbor.  Your future is in your hands and you decide your own path! Good Luck!

Q: What camera do you use for your MOTD’s on Instagram?

A:  When I first started I used my Iphone 3Gs and now I use either my Canon T5i or my Iphone 6+ - lighting is  the key to successful photos. For lighting I use a Diva Right Light and 2 Studio Lights.

Q: What is your favorite brand?

A: That question is like asking “which child is your favorite?” I don’t have a favorite, I love any type of makeup from cheap to expensive.  It’s all about the way you apply it and use it that makes a difference. Yes, some cheap makeup doesn’t have the intense pigmentation of Makeup Forever or Urban Decay but it’s how you layer it with another product can give you better results.

Q: What types of products are in your professional kit?

A: Having professional, quality products are important in a makeup artist’s kit.  Foundations are always very important, you need to find a formula with a variety of shades and with good coverage for various skin types.  You can always mix shades to custom create one for your client this is also great with lipsticks so there is no need to carry so many bottles and containers.

Q: What brushes do you use?

A: Most of my brushes are from MAC but I do have a few Smashbox, Sephora and of course Sigma for expensive quality brushes!

Q. WHERE YOU ALWAYS CRAFTY?

A: When I was younger I always loved creating stuff with paper. It was my original creative outlet. In my mid 20's I started to get the craving to make cards and get into scrapbooking and creating things with paper. My mom was very crafty- she would always have some type of sewing, home decor project she would be working on. I guess I got the creative bug from her.

Q. HOw did you get into paper planning?

A: I was on Instagram and I saw a photo from Filoeyecandi and how she decorated her planner. From then on I've been into creative paper planning on a daily basis. I've always used a planner but not like this. I love decorating my layouts to match a theme, or some type of inspiration I gained from the previous week.  I spend Sunday nights as a "me time"- like a creative session just for planning for the week. As I write this I've only been doing this for about 1 year seems like I've been in it forever!

Q. Can I buy one of your planners?

A: I get this question asked a lot .. and I mean A LOT! I think people are liking the way I decorate my layouts/planners so they think they can purchase them already decorated. I do not sell pre-made decorated  pages or planners. Creative paper planning is for YOU to get creative and design your layouts as you see fit- your personal touch of style and personality. However, starting in mid-July I'll be opening up the Villabeautifful Planner Boutique for you to purchase planner pretties to "beautiffy your planner."

Q. How many planners do you have?

A: When I first started creative planning I only had 1- Hot Pink Patent Domino Filofax which you can watch the YouTube video here.  Today, I have about 3 Websters Color Crush Planners, 1 Kate Spade, 3 Filofax, 1 Erin Condren, 1 Happy Planner, and 1 Ban.do Large Floral Agenda. Do I use them all at once? Nope! But I do switch it up every week depending on my mood. Will probably do a planner tour of all my planners soon!

Q. Where do you get all of your planner supplies?

A: I do a lot of online shopping usually from Blitsy (which I'm addicted to) and Scrapbook.com. Check out my list of daily craft sites where you can get really really good deals here.
