Tutorial: Get Ready With Me Soft Smokey Purple Cat Eye

I recently changed my hair color and I am so happy I did!  I grew out my hair for my wedding and 2 days after I cut it back to my short hair.  I love short hair, but I do wish at times I had long hair to curl it like those celebrities. :D  Do you bored with your hair and always want change? I do! I get bored easily.  Instead of changing the cut I just change the color, thanks to my good friend/stylist Thuy from 44th Street Salon.  She has been my stylist now for over a year and has been a very good friend.  She even did my hair for my wedding, I wouldn't want anyone else to do it but her. I'm thinking about doing some hair tutorials for short hair.  Just some ways that I do my hair for the short Bob sporting ladies. :D It's hard to know what to do with your hair!

Thuy gave me some magenta highlights right in the front and I wanted to do something that will really compliment the hair.  At first I wanted to do all purple but then that's way too much purple going around.  I decided on MAC Sable Eyeshadow has a lid color and then added some additional colors to define and darken.

This is my favorite look! It just blends so nicely together!

I think the lashes really give the eye makeup more detail.

I thought they would be too long when I first saw them but

look how great they turned out!

Tutorial/Get Ready With me - Shimmer Rose Makeup with MAC Rose Pigment

Last weekend I was cleaning out my makeup collection and I came across MAC Rose Pigment.  I totally forgot about this color and I remember it use to be one of my favorite pigments.  It is a beautiful pinkish golden infused pigment.  I really wanted to use this color for a tutorial since I need to add some "colorful" looks for my Youtube channel.

I have been getting so many requests for more videos.  I give a lot of credit to the beauties who can produce and edit a couple of videos a week and at the same time be able to manage everyday life.  It's like a 2nd job to blog, film, and post.  I recently made a schedule for myself - every Thursday 1 YouTube tutorial and at least a couple times a week for posts.  So far I've been able to do this without any problems.   It's such a great feeling getting so much support from you guys, I appreciate it so much! It really makes me want to do more and more, and I am working so hard to give you guys what you want! :) So instead of video where I talk the whole time I might as well do a "getting ready with me" makeup video.  At least you can see how I achieve a full look.  The speed is pretty fast but you can pretty much see all the steps that I am doing. I am interested how you guys like this ...

Tutorial: My Eyebrow Routine - easy, waterproof and long lasting

I decided to make a tutorial on a question that I get asked a lot - "how do you do your eyebrows? or "what products do you use for your eyebrows?" To tell you the truth I hate doing my eye brows.. yes I hate doing them.  If you have been following me from the very beginning you can tell my eye brows went through a transformation.  When I first started MOTD's on Instagram I  didn't really pay much attention to my brows, maybe just a light fill in but that was about it. There's just something about me and my brows.  I do not have a problem doing brows on other people, but on myself is a whole different story.  Since I was a teenager I have always been self conscious about my eyebrows.  I was the culprit of over tweezing my brows or being complete opposite of not doing anything with my brows.  Then BOOM the eyebrow Gods came to me and I was determined to have nice defined brows that I see all over Instagram.  After going through a few products I found the ones that worked the best for me.

Now it's time to watch the video, I make it easy I promise

products to create this fall inspired smokey eye. Here are the products that I used to create this look.

For the eyes the  Shadows  are Smoke (lid) Smokey (inside the crease), Chocolate (above crease) all from the

Motives My Beauty Weapon Palette

.  This palette is wonderful! You can really create a variety of looks from natural to super glam.  Another thing I like about this palette is the matte shades, super pigmented! Make sure you use a really good base for Smoke to adhere to.  Even using a gel eyeliner, or cream black shadow will really help.  Liquid Liner in Noir.  Brows are from  Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel Espresso and Brow Genius Kit in Brunette.

I wanted to show you the Pixie Lashes from House of Lashes up close.  These are my favorite to wear for a dramatic look as the lashes really compliment the darkness of the colors.  Length and fullness you have it all in 1 package.

                               Blush: Motives Runway Blush

Lips: MAC Cosmetics Oak Lip Liner with Motives Toasty Delight Lip Gloss

MOTD: MAC Cosmetics Up The Amp Lipstick

Over the weekend I was cleaning out my lipstick collection and  I found  Up The Amp MAC Lipstick.  I always forget about this color and how beautiful it looks with plum liner. I remember when I use to work for MAC customers won't be so scared to wear this color! Looks fabulous on medium to dark skin tones ( I am a NC40 in MAC foundations). The plum liner complimented the lipstick very well by creating a deeper tone around the lip which created definition.

For the eyes I Paired it with a smokey brown eye for fall and Faux Lash lashes in Sasha.  Can't forget about my brows.  My ultimate go-to brow products Anastasia Beverly Hills Brows Tinted Brow Gel Espresso and Brow Genius Kit in Brunette.

I think I need to do more lip makeup of the days ... I have tons of lipsticks. Lol
