Lorac Mega Pro Tutorial

Here's a quick tutorial on my eye makeup featured in the ColourPop Lippie Review/Swatch video using the Lorac Mega Pro Palette.  The look is super easy to create with different colors- just follow the steps and use a straight edge.

Don't forget to check out the rest of my tutorials and check every week for something new! I'm really getting the hang of posting new videos and building my channel.  Lots of new and exciting things are coming your way!

Here are the products I used to create this look:

  • MAC Cosmetics Vanilla Pigment
  • LA Girl Cosmetics Gel Eye Liner Very Black

Tutorial: Lorac Mega Pro Palette Soft Smokey Eyes

Lorac Mega Pro Palette Soft Smokey

As soon as I saw a post on Instagram about the LORAC Mega PRO Palette I knew I had to get my hands on this super palette along with a lot of other people.

I haven't really tried LORAC products and I always wanted to try the LORAC PRO Palettes 1 and 2 but never had a chance.  I see a lot of makeup artists stock their kits with the palettes.  I was about to purchase the originals until I found out this motherload was hitting for the fall season.  It actually launched for their 2014 Royal Holiday Collection but looks like it won't even reach the holidays.

Because I am a typical makeup addict I stalked the LORAC website, Facebook and Instagram feeds to make sure I didn't miss out. Marked the date Tuesday Oct. 7th in  my Filofax (thank goodness for my planner to remind me of all these makeup launches).  Woke up at 6am PST to purchase the palette.  Told my husband I forgot to send out a work email .. lied but whatever I needed the palette.   So happy I did and got my hands on it.

The shadows overall are super pigmented! I felt every time I dipped my brush into the shadow I needed to tap my brush.  Also I learned very early that you only need to tap your brush into shadow very lightly and it will pick up a lot of shadow.  I wish there was a variety of colors though.  There are a lot of light and mid tone shades all around the same color (check out the first half of the palette).  With that said it's a good palette to create neutral natural looks and classic colored smokey eyes.  If you are into color/brighter colors you may want to pass this up.

Tutorial: Colour Pop Eyes For Fall

Hair and Makeup Addiction Brushes

I have been getting a lot of questions about the brushes that I use for some of my looks- here it is! This complete set is from Hair and Makeup Addiction- the brushes are synthetic hair with bamboo wood handles plus Vegan friendly!   Visit the site for other sets if you feel you don't need a complete one like this- there's sets for eyes, face and individual.  So many uses for each one that you really don't need any other brushes.  I know, at times,  a big set like this can get confusing or overwhelming but don't you worry! You will find the name of the brush labeled on the handle- the names relate to the the purpose of the brush.  Of course, you don't have to use it for the particular purpose/feature but hey at least you won't be left in a dark.  I will do a more in-depth review of these brushes and how I like to use them.

Tutorial: Bright Eyes with Naked 1 Palette

Naked 1 Bright Eyes

It's been a couple of years since the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette has been released and to this very day it's still my favorite. The rich collection of metallic golds, bronzes and neutral browns make it my go-to palette for everyday wear and for an evening out.  This is also the palette of choice by a lot my brides that I have worked with over the years.

I totally forgot to post this look for the summer time since a bright lip (especially orange) is always on trend for the season.  I didn't want it to go to waste and thought that the neutral eye shadow would be appropriate all year- just change up the lip shade.  The Champagne L.A. Girl Glide Gel Liner with the shadow Sin from the palette really brighten up the eyes.

URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTES IN A Z-PALETTE

In the video I show you a glimpse of my depotted Naked Palettes (1-3) and a limited edition Smashbox Soft Box Palette (wish this was available all the time).  I love having all my "neutral" palettes in one place, easy for me to grab and create looks with all of the shades and keep my kit nicely condensed.  The picture of all three palettes that I printed from my computer and taped to the back of the palette is from THE FABZILLA.  Her blog is amazing and very detailed with swatches.  If you would love to see how I did this please leave a comment below!

Here's a tutorial to make your eyes brighter using the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette. The pace of the tutorial is pretty fast so I could fit all the details for you in the video. For more info including pictures of my depotted Naked Palettes in the Z-palette visit my blog.

Tutorial: Smokey Eye With Anastasia Beverly Hills Catwalk Palette

I cannot get enough of this palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills.  All the colors are up my alley, it literally is my go-to palette at the moment.  I've created everyday looks to dark smokey makeups such as this tutorial that I am sharing with all of you today.

I was looking through all of my tutorials and it seems like I haven't done a dark smokey one in awhile plus I haven't done a YouTube tutorial FOREVER! I do apologize for the lack of videos, but remember you can always follow me on Instagram.  I guess the reason why I hate making videos is because I always get stuck on what to show you guys! BLAH! Plus I hate editing, it's more of a love/hate relationship.

Anyways, lets get back to to the look.

This is how the palette looks, the colors are pretty right?

Here is a close-up of my face with all the products that I used to create the look.

If you don't have a frosted white eye shadow in your makeup collection you need one! White instantly opens up the eyes.  Take a look at my

Did you see the cute VILLABEAUTIFFUL customized compact by Case Envy? I am so in love and I handle it with care when I use it.  Ev, really took care of me and wanted to make sure I was happy with my compact.  She went above and beyond to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.  So pleased to have done business with her.  She's amazing. To order yours please contact caseenvy@yahoo.com

I love anything Rose Gold so when I was sent these beautiful beautiful brushes from

LuxieLush

, I was in heaven!!! These are the brushes that I used to create this look in my video.  You get 12 brushes for eyes and lips with the brush cylinder case - a full set to complete a full makeup look.  The brushes are super soft and made very well. I always feel guilty using these brushes because they are just too pretty to use!
