Review/Swatches: L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints

L-R ->  Bombshell, Pin-Up, Coy, Hot Mess, Blushing, Babydoll

L-R ->  Bombshell, Pin-Up, Coy, Hot Mess, Blushing, Babydoll

The L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints are the ultimate liquid lipsticks that provide high impact color and shine.  The shades are more  on the brighter side,  creamy when applied and finishes with pure color and a light shine.  I love the minty sensation to the lip product and the opaque coverage all the colors provided.  I must say a little goes a long way, seriously.  A small tiny amount on the slanted applicator will give you enough to coat your lips for a full coverage look.  Take a look at the swatches below to find your favorite.

Thoughts:

  • For the price you can't go wrong especially since they are under $4 for each one you can easily grab a few of these
  • Shop on Drugstore.com to grab your fav.
  • My favs? I can't really pick one, I love all of them.  Natural? Go for blushing.  Summer fun? Hot Mess is a trendy shade.  Smokey eye? Babydoll will complement your look to the fullest! I love pin-up too for something different than a true red.
  • The Glazed Lip Paints did not feel stick at all, super creamy and my lips didn't feel dry at all.

Which one do you think you are going to try?

MOTD: Blue/Orange Colorful Eye

 I just love the

Morphe Brushes

35 Color Glam Palette!! Look how pigmented the colors I used to create this look. First I used NYX Cosmetics  Jumbo Eye Pencil in Electric Blue to make the lid color really pop. I just applied this on top of my eye shadow primer that I use regularly. I really like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils because they come in a variety of colors to enhance your lid shadow. The lashes are

in  Pixie Dusters. Of course I had to add just a tiny bit of glitter to my inner tear duct -

glitter in Confetti. I love Confetti because it's a silver holographic that can be worn with any color combination.

I've been so behind at posting some new content! To be caught up with me and my makeup adventure you can find me on INSTAGRAM -- VILLABEAUTIFFUL (don't forget the double FF's!)

MOTD: Hunger Games

The hottest new movie out right now is Hunger Games and I haven't even seen it. I was intrigued by the trailer I saw during a commercial break from one of my television shows and also this inspirational set from Polyvore. I can't wait to see the movie to actually see what the dress looked like.

My Inspiration for the look

Start with your highlight and work down is the easiest way to achieve all the different colors to blend into each other.  You can't tell in the picture but I do have the yellow color wrapped around from the inner corner of my eye to just above my natural crease.  I would recommend layering the orange/red color until you get the desired effect that you are trying to achieve.  A bullet tipped brush such as the MAC 219 works best to get more defined saturated color  and to have that winged look.  I have no specific names of the colors as these are no name brand eye shadows but as long as you stick to colors that are similar you will be set to go.  The lashes are from the Japanese Dollar Store I always mention, Daiso.  These type of lashes really gave a nice overall finish to the eyes.

I'm thinking of creating a series of makeup looks from Hunger Games... we will see where this takes me :)
