MOTD: Colour Pop So Quiche Shadow

I've been a HUGE fan of the Colourpop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadows (click here COLOURPOP to read/view all the looks I've created with the cream shadows and for swatches/review).  I was recently sent the new fall colors and they are freaken gorgeous!!! Don't worry I'll have swatches for you very soon!

I really love the sparkly goodness in these shadows, the colors they came in, the ease of wear and of course the price point- $5!!

Here is how I created this look:

  • MAC Cosmetics Saddle Eye Shadow (Crease), Carbon (outer corner), Seedy Pearl (highlight) and White Frost  (inner tear duct highlight).
  • Colour Pop Cosmetics So Quiche Super Shock Shadow on the lid and smudged on the lower lashline.  I used my finger to apply the shadow because I find that your fingers will be the best tools for application especially with the cream consistency.  Before you begin make sure your fingers are nice and clean ;). Instead of using a blending the product back and forth use a patting motion with your finger- this will create a more pigmented base resulting in super impact color and shine!
  • NYX cosmetics Gel Liner and Smudger in Betty
  • House of Lashes Siren Lashes
House of Lashes Siren

Before you go I wanted to show you how amazing these lashes are!! One of my ultimate favorite styles.  Remind me of MAC #35 lashes.

MOTD: Smokey Gold

Smokey Gold

I wanted to share this smokey gold eye look with all of you since I haven't posted a MOTD lately.  This photo was taken with my husband's Iphone, can you believe that? I am always in awe of the awesome pictures I get with a camera phone.  With the new Iphone 6 coming out- I can't wait to see how good my close-up pictures will turn out.

I always have a love/hate relationship with my eyebrows.  You can tell when I have a good eyebrow day or a bad ( I usually don't post a MOTD if I feel my brows are not up to par).  I was having a very good eyebrow day in this picture.  I will definitely need to update my brow routine video! In case you are wondering what I use for my brows I define my brows with the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Ebony with a thin slanted angle brush.  Enough with my brows lets get down with the details of the look.

Products used:

  • Motives Cosmetics Mavens Element Eye Shadow Palette
  •  Colour Pop Cosmetics  Super Shock Shadow Get Lucky on the lid
  • House of Lashes Noir Fairy Lashes
  • Violet Voss  glitter in Goldie.

Review/Swatches Colour Pop Cosmetics Super Shock Shadow

Colour Pop Cosmetics

is seriously bad ass, seriously.  If you LOVE  glittery, creamy and pigmented shadows I just found your new soul mate!  I usually find all my beauty finds on Instagram. C'mon don't tell me you don't sit in bed browsing through your feed because you can't sleep.  For some reason I feel like it's happening to me more and more every night.  I am such a sucker for glittery/mettalic things that when I first saw these white pots I just had to have them (and I know after this post you will too!).

The shadow is just not your average powder shadow it's like a hybrid of a cream and powder put together in one for a super shimmery pot of goodness. The pigmentation and color pay-off is top notch!  The design imprinted on the shadow goes away but the shimmer/glitter/metallic  does not! Oh and did I mention they are only $5!!! YES! I went crazy and bought a few and then bought a few more.  I'm typing away and I feel like I need to finish my collection.

If you are like me - loves to shop online but hate to wait for the package to get in your hands don't you worry! The shipping was super quick and get this ... free shipping over $30 ... let me break it down that's 6 little Colour Pop Super Shock Shadows!! Let me give you a tour of my Colour Pop Cosmetics collection.

When you open your box you will find your shadows packed away nicely.

Don't you just love the box?

I really felt special when I saw the handwritten note from the Colour Pop team. Such a great touch to acknowledge their customers. Bonus points to them!

Here are swatches from my first purchase mostly neutral tones, my 2nd purchase has the brighter colors. I just want to collect all of them, I know you will want to too! Take a look at my swatches you won't be disappointed.  The descriptions of the shades are taken directly from the

Colour Pop

website.  All pictures are taken outdoors with natural light.

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow DARE- bright neon purple with hot pink and violet glitter

This color is gorgeous, I wish you can see the iridescent glitter and how it changes different shades of blue/purple.

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  EYE KANDY - lavender drizzled with tons of silver and pink glitter.

Such a sweet lil pink tone shadow with little flecks of glitter.  You can really see the silver in this one.

This is one of my favorite shades... look how gorgeous it looks against my medium/dark skin tone!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  GET LUCKY - intense ultra- metallic, liquid- like true gold.

Another one of my favs! It literally looks like liquid gold.  If you are on the hunt a super metallic gold shadow, I just fount it for you!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  GIRLY - creamy vanilla with a flash of pink and gold duo chrome finish.

I've been using this shade as a highlighter and a little bit as a highlighter on my cheekbones.  Try it, you will like it too!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow AMAZE -  metallic rose gold with multi-colored multi-dimensional glitter.

You can find the color rose gold everything now a days... now you can have it on your eyes!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  3 - cool toned bronze with a flash of silvery and multi-coloured glitter.

I am going to use this for a smokey eye... you just wait and see

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow IBIZA- Bright turquoise with a silver and gold duo chrome finish.

This color reminds me of tropical paradise, swimming in turquoise waters... ahhhhhhhh

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  I HEART THIS - cool toned silvery taupe with multi-coloured glitter, this.

I literally heart this shadow.. it's perfect in every way... one of my favs .. never going to let this one go it's me new BFF.

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow KIMONO -  bright cobalt blue with silver, blue and violet glitter.

If you love to wear bright colored shadows you better add this to your list of blues!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  LIBERTY - intense ultra-metallic true silver.

I have never seen a true metallic silver like this one!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow  SOUR - light neon lime with satin finish.

Bright and light perfect for summer

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow CHIPPER - mid-tone minty green with multi-coloured glitter.

A minty sea green that is drop dead gorg!

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow SUGAR -  metallic silvery blue with small shimmering flecks of silver and

tons of champagne and gold glitter.

A beautiful magical shade that will make you feel like a mermaid.

I wanted to show you the before and and after once the pretty top layer goes away.  You are still left with the shimmery/metallic/glittery goodness.

**APPLICATION TIP! I took their tip and I used my fingers to apply the shadows, it works perfectly! Don't forget to screw the cap tightly when you are not using them so they don't dry out.

MOTD: Sugarpill Heartbreaker Palette blue/purple eye

Over the weekend I was able to play with my friend's Sugarpill Heartbreaker Palette and this was the result! I've never tried Sugarpill I was very impressed with the intense pigment of the shadows  LOVE!  Can't wait to try some of their other products.  What are your favorites?

I also used Violet Voss glitter in Fairy Dust for added touch of glitter to the lower lash line and Alter Ego Lashes Stop & Stare and Final Touch stacked.

MOTD: Blue/Orange Colorful Eye

 I just love the

Morphe Brushes

35 Color Glam Palette!! Look how pigmented the colors I used to create this look. First I used NYX Cosmetics  Jumbo Eye Pencil in Electric Blue to make the lid color really pop. I just applied this on top of my eye shadow primer that I use regularly. I really like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils because they come in a variety of colors to enhance your lid shadow. The lashes are

Alter Ego Lashes

in  Pixie Dusters. Of course I had to add just a tiny bit of glitter to my inner tear duct -

Eye Kandy Cosmetics

glitter in Confetti. I love Confetti because it's a silver holographic that can be worn with any color combination.

I've been so behind at posting some new content! To be caught up with me and my makeup adventure you can find me on INSTAGRAM -- VILLABEAUTIFFUL (don't forget the double FF's!)
