Kim K. Midweek Makeup Feature

It's been a great week for me - wedding planning is up and running and I was featured on

Kim Kardashian's Official Website/Blog

in her Midweek Makeup section!!!!! REALLY? YESSS!!!!   The theme this week is White and Bright.  Not sure how long the section would be up but here is the link (

) if you would like to see the whole slideshow.  A lot of great makeups!

I don't follow Kim on a regular basis so when an Instagram follower told me about how she saw my picture in the collage, I just couldn't believe it.

Do you see my picture on the bottom left side? It is the Pink, Tan White Prom Look 1 that I did a couple of months ago.  To view the full post click

When you click through the slideshow the full picture is #9.

It's a great feeling when your work goes noticed, this just makes me want to blog and post more MOTD's on a regular basis.  Wow, what an amazing accomplishment.

MOTD: Hunger Games

The hottest new movie out right now is Hunger Games and I haven't even seen it. I was intrigued by the trailer I saw during a commercial break from one of my television shows and also this inspirational set from Polyvore. I can't wait to see the movie to actually see what the dress looked like.

My Inspiration for the look

Start with your highlight and work down is the easiest way to achieve all the different colors to blend into each other.  You can't tell in the picture but I do have the yellow color wrapped around from the inner corner of my eye to just above my natural crease.  I would recommend layering the orange/red color until you get the desired effect that you are trying to achieve.  A bullet tipped brush such as the MAC 219 works best to get more defined saturated color  and to have that winged look.  I have no specific names of the colors as these are no name brand eye shadows but as long as you stick to colors that are similar you will be set to go.  The lashes are from the Japanese Dollar Store I always mention, Daiso.  These type of lashes really gave a nice overall finish to the eyes.

I'm thinking of creating a series of makeup looks from Hunger Games... we will see where this takes me :)

Tutorial: Soft Aqua/Lime Eye with Viva Glam Nicki!

Since I was a teenager I have been a loyal MAC ADDICT not because of the great selection of products and colors but because this company gives back to others.  In 1994 the MAC Aids Fund was established  to create awareness and educate people on HIV/AIDS around the world.  Every cent of a Viva Glam Lipstick or Lipglass purchased will help people living with affected and by AIDS/HIV.  Every couple of years the company picks a new Viva Glam Spokesperson to represent the company on a whole new campaign to spread awareness with a powerful lipstick color that they choose.  This year MAC chose Ricky Martin (lip conditioner) and Nicki Minaj (flamingo pink lipstick) - two very influential people in the music industry today.

I love the Viva Glam Niki lipstick, it is a gorgeous pink that compliments my skin tone very well.  This is my favorite pink of all time.  I decided to make a tutorial on how to wear this lipstick with brighter eye colors.  I didn't notice until I was finished with the video that Nicki's makeup in the campaign advertisements were identical to the colors that I used except switched.  :)

Enjoy watching!

MOTD: Shimmer soft and pretty

Last night was the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and I found the makeup to be different than the rest of the years. This year was focused more on a soft angelic look than a sexy smokey eye. The makeup was pretty and it worked well with the theme of the show. The show inspired me to showcase a soft pretty look for my MOTD.
