Planner Society

GOODBYE 2015, HELLO 2016!

Taking some time today to make goals for the New Year and I couldn’t help but reflect back on 2015. I’ve done so much and accomplished goals/dreams that I didn’t even think I could. I would say that 2015 was a planner adventure for me. It made me think how much I love this planner community and truly enjoy creative planning. I always thought my life would be the beauty industry (it still is, my heart still loves makeup) but this new change in my career has brought my so much joy and happiness. It's nice to have a "change of pace" and I'm so happy I found my change in 2015.

Early last year I started the Pacific Northwest Planner Group- a little group for planners in the area to get together and share their love for planning. The first meet-up of 35 people in my condo's owner's lounge was the little spark that ignited the flame. Little did I know I would be planning planner parties with my friend Rhondalei and watching the group grow and grow to now 550 members!. I can’t wait to celebrate the one year birthday of this group which has brought the Seattle/Vancouver, BC and Portland planners together.

I’ve been blessed to be part of 3 design teams- The Planner Society,  Studio l2e and Me & My Big Ideas. To be selected to be on a design team is an honor and I'm so thankful that these companies chose me to represent them.  I love spreading my passion and creativity with all of you.

A big dream/goal of mine was to own my own business. However, I always wanted it be beauty related since I am a makeup artist but this year everything changed. Thanks to my planner friend Sierra who shared my homemade page flag stickers that I sent her on her IG .. my little pocket letter filler turned into a full blown business. Villabeautifful has been my brand since the very beginning of my makeup career and now it’s revolving into something and it’s such a good feeling! The comments from all of YOU, my customers, have made me want to strive for bigger and better things for VB. I couldn’t be happier and more blessed for this community and how all of you have impacted my life. THANK YOU! I’m excited to see what 2016 holds for me and Villabeautifful- can’t wait to share it with all of you!

Planner Society Oct Kit

ThePlannerSocietyOctKit

For those of you who are regular subscribers to The Planner Society Monthly Kits you'll agree with me that October was just beautiful! I'm a lover of florals and jewel toned hues so when I first laid my hands on the kit it was a match made in heaven.

Each month Christy Tomlinson puts together the cutest embellishments from sticky notes, stickers and whatever her creative mind can think of. I'm always in awe when I receive my monthly kits. Even though I've been a Creative Team member from the very beginning I still sit down and look at each item and say to myself "I don't want to use this, it's too pretty!"

I always get asked what's my favorite product or embellishment in each kit. For this month it would have to be the floral print papers (blue background one and the orange one). The colors just pop!

Take a look on how I used the kit to decorate my new black Kate Spade Planner and Traverler's Notebook Insert.

Past Planner Society Kits- June, July, Aug

Hi everyone! I am so sorry I haven't been posting especially about the monthly Planner Society Kits. Things have been a little crazy here but I am getting back on track with Plan With Me videos and regular blog posts.

Today, I wanted to backtrack a little and post some of my photos of the past kits so you can get some inspiration from them. I'll be doing a video on the September Planner Society Kit (guess who's in it again!) and will post some photos of my layout. For now enjoy the photos.

The Planner Society MAY Planner Kit

The Planner Society May

It's finally here! ThePlanner Society yay Kit up on villabeauTIFFul.com so it's time for planner decorating! This month the kit is filled with a camera theme mixed in with primary colors. Everything in this month's kit was so fun to play and create with. Of course I filmed a Youtube video going over the contents of the kit and how I decorated the front of my planner (dashboard and pockets). I love creating dashboards and side pockets for my planner- it really brings character to the planner.

I recently purchased the Websters Color Crush Planner in the Teal and White Striped. I'm use to using a larger planner (A5 or large Kikkik) so this new planner was something that I really had to get use to.

Just like last month I forgot to take a picture of the contents of the kit but don't worry you can take a peak of everything in my video. Here's a photo that I took when I first received the kit in the mail.

Here are some pictures of what I created with the contents of the May Planner Society Kit. My favorite item would have to be the camera paperclips! I love em! The papers that Christy designed are to die for and really help bring all the content together.

I also created a matching layout using the leftover supplies. Since I plan my weekly layouts about 2 weeks before the actual week this week will be for the end of the month to the first few days of June.  I really like the paper that comes with the Webster's Papers Color Crush Planner. The quality of the paper is great!

I hope you guys enjoyed my photos and how I used the contents of the kit to create something amazing! Stay tuned for next month to see what I create with a brand new kit. Please tag me on Instagram so I can see what you create also!

I'm always a fan of subscription kits especially if has to do with planner or crafting supplies but I feel it's extra special when you are on the design team!

PlannerSocietyDesignTeam

Lets start from the beginning! I was recently asked to join the Planner Society Design Team head by Christy Tomlinson.  If you follow Planner Society on Instagram or follow Christy herself you know all her creations are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! She truly is an artist and I just love her style. So it was a big honor to be chosed to be part of her venture- a monthly planner subscription kit. I get to join these amazing ladies every month to show you how to put together your planner, Midori, journal, etc. with the content of the kit. I have to tell you it's been super fun playing with everything you get! Let me show you April's Kit.

I totally forgot to take a picture of the full contents of the kit before I started planning for my YouTube tutorial but I did manage to take this shot.  There's so many other goodies that I didn't get to fit in the picture but don't worry you'll get to see all of it in my video below. The daily planner insert is from Christy as well! She has so many different designs to choose from, pick your favorite from her Etsy shop.

If your new to the whole planning thing or have been decorating and using a paper planner for sometime then you'll know how hard it is at times to get supplies that all match. With The Planner Society Subscription Kit everything is done for you- everything matches perfectly. You have enough supplies to decorate your front planner (you'll see in my video), inserts and other crafty projects. For more ideas make sure you follow the other beautiful ladies on the creative team!

Here's some pictures of my gold Large Kikki.K Planner beautified with everything from the April kit.

Ready for my tutorial?! Watch it below!

Now, you want one right? Check Christy's site for how you can be a subscriber here. Kits sell out fast- May is already sold out. June is still available as of now! Get on it! For May subscribers, I'll see you next month for a new layout!
