Review/Swatches L.A. Girl Cosmetics Glide Gel Liners

L.A. Girl Glide Gel Liners

The L.A. Girl Cosmetics Glide Gel Liners creamy, super long-lasting (I mean waterproof and smudgeproof once it is set) and it literally just "glides" on with no tugging. Think of the gel liner that you use in the little pot with the slanted eye liner brush but in pencil form with no brush needed.   If you have been looking for a liner to place in the waterline this is for you! Seriously, I have never been so passionate about a product.  There are very similar to the Urban Decay 24/7 Liners, IMO. Take a look at the video below for instant gratification, you will be impressed, I know it! (UPDATE: For some reason it won't let me upload the video here I took from my Iphone, head over to my instagram to view the video if you are interested to see how true  these liners stay put)

Now another great thing about these bad boy liners is the price point.  $5 for each one, you can find them here at L.A Girl Cosmetics.com.  I love finding fabulous makeup products that don't break the bank, and these liners fit right in this category.

Below are the swatches that I have, and will be purchasing the other liners to complete the collection.  I will also be doing some MOTDS with these liners so keep an eye out. Which colour do you like? My favorites are Champagne (pearly not too white liner for brightening), Very Black (true intense black), Gypsy Teal (blueish-deep aqua teal), and Royal Blue (purple blue - great for brown eyed girls).  Enjoy the swatches and I would love to know which colour is your fav!

Review/Swatches: L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints

L-R ->  Bombshell, Pin-Up, Coy, Hot Mess, Blushing, Babydoll

L-R ->  Bombshell, Pin-Up, Coy, Hot Mess, Blushing, Babydoll

The L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints are the ultimate liquid lipsticks that provide high impact color and shine.  The shades are more  on the brighter side,  creamy when applied and finishes with pure color and a light shine.  I love the minty sensation to the lip product and the opaque coverage all the colors provided.  I must say a little goes a long way, seriously.  A small tiny amount on the slanted applicator will give you enough to coat your lips for a full coverage look.  Take a look at the swatches below to find your favorite.

Lagirl glazed lip paints

Thoughts:

  • For the price you can't go wrong especially since they are under $4 for each one you can easily grab a few of these
  • Shop on Drugstore.com to grab your fav.
  • My favs? I can't really pick one, I love all of them.  Natural? Go for blushing.  Summer fun? Hot Mess is a trendy shade.  Smokey eye? Babydoll will complement your look to the fullest! I love pin-up too for something different than a true red.
  • The Glazed Lip Paints did not feel stick at all, super creamy and my lips didn't feel dry at all.

Which one do you think you are going to try?

America! America! God shed his grace on thee.  Crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!

This week's Filofax theme for my planning pages is of course, 4th of July, which falls on Friday this year. The red, white and blue patriotic theme really shines through on these pages.  It was so much fun creating this theme. I have been totally obsessed with finding inspiration on Pinterest especially free printable Project Life cards which I incorporate in my Filofax weekly pages. So many talented designers out there that put up their creations for everyone to use, so thankful for those designers! I've listed the sources for the 4th of July printables below in case you want to save them for future projects.

Materials Used:

  • Various washi tape in red, white and blue
  • Studio L2E Plan It and List It Stamps
  • Printable "Land That I Love" Card from KensieKate.com
  • Printable triangles to form banner on the top of layout  from niftythriftythings.com
  • Printable cards on the top of the Filofax from twopeasinabucket.com (I know the store is closing not sure if they will still have their free printables but it's worth to save this one just in case).
  • Star Hole Puncher from Daiso

I would love to see your Filofax planning pages! Post on Instagram and tag #villabeautifful, who knows I might just feature YOU! Can't wait to show you next week's layout!
